A bit about me:
Name's Jayden Andrews and plummet is my cozy page. I'm an aspiring software engineer. I've grown up around computers and I've been programming for many a year now. I'm into reading, hiking and conservation as well, living in a country as beutiful as South Africa I suppose it would be a shame if I wasn't.
I am well versed with Linux, in system administration and in computer networking. I am currently using NixOS and I have been for almost a year as of writing this - switched from Arch. I don't know if I could move away from it even if I wanted to at this point.. Neovim is my text editor of choice since my switch to NixOS, prior to that I was just using vim with vs9 plugins.
More about my Journey:
I'm a C dev by nature, I've dablled in C++, played around and built a few projects in Rust, and done quite a lot with PHP, typescript and Vue.js/ts. I recently did some work in that area, though with a react stack. Again though, C is still my jam, and embeded systems are lots of fun. Recently I've gotten more into Zig and Scala (Loving them BTW).
I enjoy working on open source projects, and I'm always eager to share what I know with people. However I'm not always sure when a good point to be "finished" with a project is. That said: almost everything I have here is a work in progress and much is likely to change with me including this page.
I was inspired to build this after following Mr. Sapka's blog for a while his site design. I absolutely love the retro aesthetic and what better way to show an appreciation for that other than re-theming my page after Half Life's UI, one of my all time favourite games.
